Halloween has become a pretty prominent Holiday in Korea over the past few years. More and more it's being celebrated around the country. This year, I felt like I celebrated for the entire month of October, so many parties, etc. Well one such party was a complete blast! It was up in an area called Uijeongbu (spelling?) at Nikki and Luke's apartment. Nikki and Luke are long time friends of Courtney (my co-worker) and Luke is stationed in the Army in that area. We went up on a Friday evening and the area is very north of Seoul, so it took about 2 hours on the subway. We spent Friday night just hanging out and enjoying being in a REAL FURNISHED APARTMENT. Oh man, it was so luxurious! The Army pays for them to ship over a ton of stuff while they live in Korea, so they had all the amenities and a very big apartment, well big in my standards. It was so nice to just hang out and sit on a couch and shoot the shit for a night. Then Saturday morning we woke up and prepared for the party. Decorating, cooking, cleaning, etc. For Halloween this year I went with recycled costume ideas. For this party, Courtney and I went as Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Dr. Seuss. It was a few years ago that Kolee and I dressed up like this :) Such a great costume...you get to wear all red, a ridiculous blue wig and comfortable clothes all night...none of the slutty costume crap. I hate when girls dress up all 'sexy' or whatever for Halloween...they basically go out in no clothes in the middle of Fall. Not smart or cute or any of the above. Anyway, we had an awesome time at the party. It was all foreigners and a few Koreans, and we went all out on decorations, crazy food and drinks. So much fun!
